Each year, hashi.org awards three $1000 scholarships—one to a Japanese, one to a Korean, and one to an American. Here are the winners for 2009.
Keita Omi is our Japanese winner. He is a PhD graduate student studying political science.

Meet Sae Lom Kim, our Korean winner. Majoring in global studies in arts and humanities, she plans on using her scholarship to participate in a study abroad program held by the Japan Center for Michigan Universities.
